Everybody wants to know these super-out-of-this-world weight loss secrets. Really? Secrets? The secret is, there is no secret. It’s as simple as that. Every company that claims to offer a new revolution in weight loss is LYING! There is no single product or system that will magically make you lose weight and melt fat from your body.

OK, so now that we’ve got the bad news out of the way, let’s get to the GOOD NEWS! The good news is, because there are no weight loss secrets, weight loss is actually attainable for everyone. EVERYONE. Including YOU.

But what I CAN give you are some really, really simple pointers that work best in combination and consistently. Here we go:

1. Drink Water – really, this is a no-brainer. Everyone needs to drink more water. Spring is best (non-chlorine, non-fluoride). Water makes up xx amount of the body, so it makes sense to replenish. It also flushes out impurities and offsets the effects of your salt intake, which tends to make people bloat.

2. Get Sleep – again, real simple one. But, the fact is that most of us live on far less than what we need. We are all overworked with far more commitments than what is balanced and healthy. Try to go to bed earlier and, if you have kids, try to steal a nap here and there. And DO NOT lay in bed reading your device (if you’re doing that now, put it down and GO TO SLEEP!) Let your mind and body rest and unwind so you can fall asleep quickly.

3. Stress Less – oops, I did it again! I like to keep things simple! But seriously, if you could actually see the effects of stress on your body it would change things. Stress and adrenal fatigue leads to excess cortisol, that leads to emotional eating, mood alterations, weight gain and fatigue. Do yourself a favour and find methods of relaxation – reading, yoga, mediation, whatever! Book it into your schedule.

4. Love More – this is my favourite. I believe those who love more are happier and healthier and, it promotes good brain chemistry. Show generosity, volunteer with a charity, meet up with a friend or get a furry little pet to love if you live alone. Do whatever you can to output more love in your life.
